They are advertised as having a sightline between 8 and 10 millimeters. However, they employ an "warm edge" spacer bar, which decreases visibility. To achieve this sightline, the sealant that is located at the rear of the unit has to be reduced in size. This could have a significant impact on the IGU's ability to withstand gas and moisture loss, which leads to premature IGU failure.

The main problem with these units is that they do not meet the requirements for thermal performance of Part 2 and 3 of EN 1279 which requires a minimum sealant depth over the bar that is 8mm. This results in reducing the efficiency of the unit by about 10%. The units are then backed by the manufacturers to meet this standard. However these tests aren't performed on these reduced-sightline narrow cavity units.
