The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good option if you're looking to buy an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It provides a fantastic mopping experience but lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

In the course of testing, it was able to handle dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard flooring. However, unlike other models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to map out your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and plenty of features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The robot will learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automated schedules to provide you with a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is set up, you can start automated cleaning with a single button. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice or go for two detailed maps of your home to ensure that your home is properly arranged.

This robot vac performs well on both floors that are bare and low-pile carpet. It can pick up pet hair and also suck large objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other narwal robot vacuum vacuums. It's a challenge with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot promises that the next models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that has an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we found it to be marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ has a superior filter system that prevents tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think it's a nice statement, but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system uses a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map the interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundaries to ensure that the robot is aware of which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are just as effective as those of higher-end models, and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only downside is that it does not have a second rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but it's a small cost to pay for if you want to get one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank of the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors, and filling it up takes only two or three cycles, even when you've got a lot of dirt.

In terms of the mopping device, I was awestruck by its ability to remove tough dirt from my floors. The two mopping robot Vacuum cleaner modes that it has that are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, create little noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without interruption. If it comes into contact with the wall or a piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it before moving along.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that can automatically transfer physical trash to the hidden bin, as well as washes and dry the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only alert you if something is wrong for example, low water levels or a cancelled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also create and merge actual rooms to alter the way that Q Revo will treat your home. That's a handy feature for those who have multiple areas of your home with different flooring materials or there's a lot of items that need to be removed frequently, such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, taking dirt from carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It can also vacuum up wet spills however I would recommend cleaning them off using a clean cloth before bringing the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that comes with all the features you could need. It has the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an automatic cleaning station that washes and empties the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for reuse. It also features a new sensor system that better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it measures over two feet in both height and depth, and weighs almost four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a full cleaning of about 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also has a larger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that is functional even if you are not at home. It also comes with a smart routing function that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined route.

The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested, because of its mop pads that rotate to scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well and it increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure that it does the job well. It is equipped with a large rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality robot vacuum and mop that comes with a variety of convenience features that you do not often find on robots of this price range. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, detect different types of flooring and is one of the few to automatically wash and dry the mop pads. But while these functions are useful however, they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury and could mean it's slightly more expensive than some homeowners require.

Created to look like a contemporary floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish highlighted by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper that helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage while moving around the home. Behind the pane at the front is an additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that acts as an on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu at the middle of the control panel lets you to choose cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open up the settings menu in which you can modify how the L10s Ultra works with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to help you map out your home. This produces a precise floor Robot Vacuum plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop with ease, without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops also do a great job, removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. It was not as efficient at removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
